Sex Symbol 1949

I walked upon the shoot

Knowing millions would see me

But the body is meant to be seen, not all covered up.

One by one my clothes hit the floor

Heart pounding in my chest with each deep breath

But this is what I wanted to do

Was I nervous? Not one bit.

I posed for the camera

The flick, flick, flick

I became the worlds number one sex symbol.

Footnotes :  Marilyn agreed to pose nude for a calendar. A fact

that was to stir controversy later in her career as a superstar.
